Fey Lamellenringe Expands High-Temp Solutions for Automotive & Aerospace
Fey Lamellenringe has strengthened its position in the high-temperature sealing market with its FK5-HFL series. As modern internal combustion engines and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems face stricter efficiency regulations, standard rubber seals are failing under the increased heat. Fey’s chrome-nickel steel laminar rings, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 700°C (1,292°F), are now being positioned as the primary solution for sealing turbochargers, exhaust valves, and axial compensators. This move targets the growing demand for "contact-free" sealing that eliminates friction-induced heat while maintaining a gas-tight seal in extreme thermal cycles.
